Pricing

Priced on the work, not on a rate card.

We do not publish an hourly rate, because an hourly rate tells you nothing useful about what a job will cost. A clean Xero file and a shoebox of receipts are not the same job, and quoting them the same way helps nobody.

Engagement models

Six ways to buy capacity.

Firms usually run two or three of these at once: a monthly package for the steady work, and per-job quotes for whatever the season throws up.

Pricing models, what suits each one, and how it is quoted

How a number is arrived at

What actually moves the price.

Four things, in roughly this order of impact. We will tell you which of them is driving your quote.

Get it scoped

01

Condition of the file

The single biggest factor. A reconciled ledger costs a fraction of one that has not been touched in fourteen months.

02

Volume and complexity

Transaction counts, number of bank accounts, entity structure, group relationships and how many tax positions need supporting.

03

Service tier

Bookkeeping to trial balance is not the same as full annual accounts with tax workpapers and a senior review.

04

Turnaround required

A standard schedule and a compressed one carry different prices. We will always quote both so you can choose.

What you can rely on

The commercial terms, plainly.

Quoted before we start

Every job carries a price you have agreed before any work begins. No open meters.

Scope changes are flagged

If a file is materially worse than it looked, we stop and re-quote. We do not quietly keep billing.

Rework is not billed

If something comes back wrong on our side, correcting it is on us.

No long lock-in

Job work carries no ongoing commitment. Dedicated seats have a notice period agreed up front.

Billed in NZD

Invoiced in New Zealand dollars, so your recovery calculation does not move with the exchange rate.

Your margin stays yours

We bill your practice. What you charge your client is between you and them.

Next step

Request a proposal for your practice.

Tell us your portfolio size, your software and where the pressure is. We will come back with a scoped proposal and a recommended model rather than a rate sheet.

You manage the client. We help you manage the workload.

Start with one job. No retainer, no minimum term, no obligation to continue.
